Introduction I wasn’t sure who I would choose to write about at first, since I don’t have very much knowledge of ballet and ballet dancers other than those covered in this course. While researching on who I wanted to write about I came across Janet Collins, an American dancer and choreographer who is influential in the ballet world. The reason that I chose to write about her is because she is considered a huge figure in the black ballet community.
